i like xo's approach https://github.com/xo/xo but it is as is. I would love if something similar comes along that is used by db practititoners that is actively used and supported.

I've used https://github.com/xo/xo , extended it with some custom functions for templating, extended the templates themselves, and can now generate CRUD for anything in the database, functions for common select queries based on the indices…

Looks a little like the Typescript equivalent of Xo ( https://github.com/xo/xo ) for Go. Especially with Go, getting help with some initial scaffolding can be a huge timesaver. I'm assuming it's a similar gain for Typescript.

We released a tool for generating Go types/funcs for databases/queries that might help you with this: https://github.com/knq/xo (FWIW I completely agree the added mental overhead for ORMs are not necessary)
