  13. There is one more very interesting project under the swift umbrella: https://github.com/apple/swift-corelibs-libdispatch so now swift should have a useful approach to concurrency.

  14. …go's channel + routine syntax. Abstractions like that are not swifts problem. Edit: also, look at https://github.com/apple/swift-corelibs-libdispatch so those libraries should be portable.
