Been working on a similar idea of an in-terminal IDE with more and more batteries included https://github.com/paradise-runner/toast

My own IDE! https://github.com/paradise-runner/toast It has all the parts I want (lsps, syntax highlighting, a file tree) without the parts I don’t (a bundled terminal, tracking, ai)

I’m building an in-terminal IDE over at https://github.com/paradise-runner/toast that does this. No AI, no telemetry, just a text editor that has it all baked in and is easy on the eyes.

…viewing of long form documents, and I’m also building my own in-terminal IDE-lite called toast ( https://github.com/paradise-runner/toast still very early development!!) that id like to be able to replace zed with.
