…If you want to see the exact name of the type you can always look up the signature of `Client.get`: https://github.com/mirage/ocaml-cohttp/blob/16e991ec1f7e5f0c... (nowadays LSP support in any good editor will show the type on hover) -…

…request being made that is asynchronous, non-blocking but looks synchronous with no special syntax. https://github.com/mirage/ocaml-cohttp/blob/16e991ec1f7e5f0c... Performing these effects is similar to throwing exceptions up the callstack…

…powerful isomorphic web frameworks. Or do you want to spin up a quick JSON API server with Cohttp ( https://github.com/mirage/ocaml-cohttp )? Or dig into a high-performance, lower-level server ( https://github.com/inhabitedtype/httpaf )?…

But cohttp is slow. See https://github.com/mirage/ocaml-cohttp/issues/328 and https://github.com/inhabitedtype/httpaf

Yes, Cohttp is from the folks who developed the Mirage unikernel: https://github.com/mirage/ocaml-cohttp . They make lightweight stuff that runs blazing fast.

FWIW, the current preferred web server at JS seems to be https://github.com/mirage/ocaml-cohttp (which supports both Async and Lwt). I wouldn't go so far as to call it a framework, though.

…mature but it's mostly a friendly wrapper for an http layer that is fairly mature. Have a look at: https://github.com/mirage/ocaml-cohttp You can of course also use cohttp directly but it's a little raw.

For HTTP I always use 'ocaml-cohttp' (opam install cohttp): https://github.com/mirage/ocaml-cohttp/blob/master/examples/... For JSON I normally use 'Jsonm' but I've heard good things about 'Ezjsonm': https://github.com/samoht/ezjsonm I've…
