  1. Is Hasklig not already such a font? https://github.com/i-tu/Hasklig
  2. https://github.com/i-tu/Hasklig is best, IMHO. It is https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Source+Code+Pro but with ligatures.
  3. I am still very happy with https://github.com/i-tu/Hasklig its nice and readable, but has ligatures, which makes things like == & -> very obvious.

  4. …wants C to look like Haskell? (as always, the Haskell users have taken it quite a bit further: https://github.com/i-tu/Hasklig/#hasklig--ligatures-for-code )
  5. …ligatures, until I found Hasklig. It has similar ligatures, but the overall font is better imo. https://github.com/i-tu/Hasklig

  6. …the ring, as it's my preferred font for programming and seems like not many people know about it. https://github.com/i-tu/Hasklig/

  7. [Hasklig]( https://github.com/i-tu/Hasklig/ ), which is derived from Fira Code, and brings some nice (properly spaced) ligatures useful if you use functional languages.
  8. …like erik-g mentioned. My personal favorite is Hasklig[0], which is based on Source Code Pro. [0]: https://github.com/i-tu/Hasklig
  9. I'm still hoping for ligature support, especially with how common arrow functions have become: https://github.com/i-tu/Hasklig The lack of them is one of the reasons I'm considering switching to VS Code.

  10. …(note that they only show symbols) - https://github.com/tonsky/FiraCode - https://github.com/i-tu/Hasklig I think people using a programming language with a more math-like notation probably benefit much more than those using "normal

  11. A more interesting usage of this feature is Hasklig: https://github.com/i-tu/Hasklig/ A monospaced fontface for Haskell, where the operators are presented as ligatures. If only it also included operators from other languages.
  12. I like this source code pro fork with ligatures (at times more irritating than useful, but sexy): https://github.com/i-tu/Hasklig edit: switched to Fira Code Light (now that there is a light version) https://github.com/tonsky/FiraCode
  13. A sample would be nice. Look at this one that another commenter here linked to: https://github.com/i-tu/Hasklig . Samples! You immediately know what it's about. I don't think a ttf font can't compete with a handmade raster one like…
  14. …these ideas are implemented in fonts like Fira Code https://github.com/tonsky/FiraCode/ and Hasklig https://github.com/i-tu/Hasklig e.g. typing => gives ⇒ Both should be well known to HN readers.

  16. …I love having ligatures for common symbols. I should pick up fontforge again and adapt it to PHP https://github.com/i-tu/Hasklig/

  17. …in modifying a font and adding ligatures for use my in my programming editor (as is done in https://github.com/i-tu/Hasklig/ ). The best I could find is https://github.com/mozilla/Fira/issues/62 .
