Looks like no one has mentioned https://github.com/gpakosz/.tmux You still need to learn the basics but this lowers the learning curve a lot.

…F10 brings up a list of sessions, and F9 toggles between the last 2 sessions. Mine is based on https://github.com/gpakosz/.tmux but customised for F keys, status bar, mouse etc
