  5. A little shoutout to a alternative Python formating tool https://github.com/google/yapf (developed by Google). The built in "facebook style" formating felt by far the most natural to me with the out of the box settings and no extra config.

  16. Yup, all of this is fairly tricky for YAPF as well ( https://github.com/google/yapf ). We ended up reusing clang-format's algorithm

  18. That is apparently the "google style" https://github.com/google/yapf/blob/master/yapf/yapflib/styl... No option to change the line endings though, and it changes them all to Windows style.
