I'm just using cross https://github.com/cross-rs/cross to build cross-arch. you can still use `cargo build`, it will just work.

…and compilation. The resulting executable ran successfully at the first try. I was amazed. [1] https://github.com/cross-rs/cross

Can’t you just replace the “cargo” command with “cross” cross build —-target=… https://github.com/cross-rs/cross

…easy if what you try to compile don't have C dependencies. For C dependencies, there is cross < https://github.com/cross-rs/cross > which I had good experiences with.

…we can do way better than that, because Zig showed us how. See this Dockerfile for what I mean: https://github.com/rust-embedded/cross/blob/master/docker/Do...

You should give rust-embedded's `cross` project a look. https://github.com/rust-embedded/cross/ I can't find any iOS related directories in their list of targets but there are a couple issues related to supporting apple platforms.

…I wrote this I discovered that cross[1] supports FreeBSD so it's probably the better option. [1]: https://github.com/rust-embedded/cross

Yep! Thank you so much! I really need to update the documentation, but I think `cross` ( https://github.com/rust-embedded/cross ), a drop-in cargo replacement, is the probably the best available solution for building musl-based binaries.

Yes: - https://github.com/japaric/rust-cross (more involved) - https://github.com/rust-embedded/cross (straightforward) (Edited for formatting)
