Rust is already available for GPU, kind of: https://github.com/EmbarkStudios/rust-gpu I don't think it's production ready though and I have no idea if this library should work on this.

…where I can just write rust? [0] https://github.com/Hugobros3/shady#language-syntax [1] https://github.com/EmbarkStudios/rust-gpu Edit: No new language to learn required, this was about IR

…matrix operations that are typed also. Processing data on the CPU is fast, and crates like https://github.com/EmbarkStudios/rust-gpu make it very ergonomic to leverage the GPU. I like this library for creating typed coordinate spaces for…

There's another project that's similar that's being used by an actual game company: https://github.com/EmbarkStudios/rust-gpu They see specific advantages here that would outweigh that negative. It's not my space (I play games, but know…

It turns out that when wgpu is combined with rust-gpu, it can run rust on gpus too https://github.com/EmbarkStudios/rust-gpu/tree/main/examples... (on the "builder" directory it builds shaders with the spirv-builder crate)

The best way to do it is probably the way rust-gpu does it: https://github.com/EmbarkStudios/rust-gpu/blob/main/docs/src... The entry point of the kernel would supply any objects that have special properties.

https://github.com/embarkstudios/rust-gpu would be the closest equivalent, AFAICT.

I'd ask why wouldn't you want that? I think this is more promising: https://github.com/EmbarkStudios/rust-gpu

Rust also has this, from what I understand: https://github.com/EmbarkStudios/rust-gpu
